A Day At ESN!
Sunday, i was attended this ESN (Elderly Sector Network) training with Alice. This training workshop was organised by NVPC (National Volunteer & Philanthropy Centre). The main target for this training is on new volunteer. Share and give a proper guidance to the volunteer on how to serve and understand the elderly even better...You know! I only found out this training just two weeks back; after joining SN for years long heh...!

My feedback for this training is it's pretty fun & interesting! This especially when come to Dialect U and I (Hokkien) where i started to laugh until nearly fell down from my chair...haaaa.....
Let me share some of these interesting Hokkien conversation here with you and test yourself how good is your Hokkien before seeing its meaning in english ya...heeeee.....
(1) Ler Ho Bo? Wah Si Gi Gan. (meaning How Are You? I Am A Volunteer.)
(2) Ler Jia Bah Buay? (meaning Have You Eaten?)
(3) Sin Teh Ho Ho Bo? (meaning Are You Fine?)
Guess the following meaning ya...*_^....
(4) Su Yiao Hong You Bo? Wu Kua Yi Sen, Jia Yok,....(meaning ???)
(5) Wu Puay Ai Tuck Bo, Wu Xiu Zui Huai Du-an, Dian Wuay Du-an (meaning ???)
(6) Su Yiao Re Siong Yong Ping, Key Qiu, Sui Tao Zui, Key Ko, Sui San Hoon, Sap Boon (meaning ???)
And lastly what we have learned was the Hokkien song - Ti O O (天黑黑)...haaaa...

Talking about dialect training, give me an idea. How about we start recording simple spoken word in dialect in mp3.
It can tend be share among our volunteer who wish to pick it up.
Need volunteers to be the voice for the recording and I will volunteer to do the recording and editing.
How about that?
Yeah! not a bad idea but definitely this person is NOT ME ya...heeee...Anyway, just arrange for that recording i will follow up from there...
