Mooncake Fiesta
Kudos to the organizing team for this joyous celebration and to all the volunteers who aided in the preparation to make the event a success. Many thanks to Joanna for your willingness to participate actively even though it was your first day at the Home. My apologies for not being able to spend more time on orientating you about the Home due to the other tasks at hand. Hopefully you found what you wanted after spending a day at the SN Home. :)
The event turned out nicely, no doubt. Upon hearing the rehearsal music before commencing the celebration, a few eager elderly beneficiaries couldn't wait and rolled in on their wheels!
I was also quite surprized that a lot of the beneficiaries were quite happy and willing to pose for me when I asked for a shot. It means that they are starting to open themselves up and hopefully we can all take the initiative to accept their invitation to build closer bonds.
The one performance I really liked were the songs that were belted out by the male singer (sorry, can't recall the name!). His ability to involve the audience in the performance is not easy and I hope we can all learn a trick or two from there.
The other volunteers who joined in the event, do kindly share your opinions and experiences. You may have seen or experienced something that others did not. Let's share our experiences so that we can all learn from each other.
P/S: Running around the whole building as appointed photographer is a sweat-breaking task. The next guy appointed, please wear singlet and shorts.
