The main responsibility of the Welfare committee is to plan and organise volunteer outings as well as looking after the volunteers’ well-being when they are at the Home. Besides enhancing the bond among volunteers, constant feedback is also carried out in order to understand the volunteer’s needs. On top of the above mentioned, the Welfare committee is also involved in the replenishment of the medication stock and updating of the stock booklet which caters to the welfare of the elderly.

Objectives/Tasks

• Build strong bonds and boost the liveliness of volunteers
• Caters to festive celebrations and ad-hoc activities for the elderly, to bring more joy and fun to the beneficiaries
• Responsible for all volunteers’ outings and activities, aimed at building rapport among volunteers
• Responsible for regular volunteers & elderly birthday celebrations on a monthly basis
• Act as liaison with external organizations for funding
• Maintain and update the database of volunteers and ensures confidentiality of the information
